Boog Productions

My love to watch and create filmography came from my brother's love to do those things. My brother, Jordan Brown graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Mass Communication and film. Since graduation, Jordan and his college buddies have created their own film company titled, 10 Pillar Productions. They create short films, music videos, and lots of promotional videos for businesses in the Austin area. I've been able to work on a couple of their film sets over the years and each time has been more informative than the other.

Boog Productions is a YouTube channel that I created with my friend, Chris Skladal. We made the channel at the beginning of our sophomore year of high school because we were taking Introduction to A/V. I really enjoyed all the factors that had to do with the filming process like pre-production, writing, cinematography, acting, and directing. We continued to take the audio/video class and the more we practiced the better we got at making videos. We published a good number of videos, but some of our best work was ghost.mp4, Last Day for a Zilker, LC News, and Tardy's: The Dangers of ISS.

One of my favorite filming experiences was Last Day for a Zilker because it was a short film that challenged my overall filming techniques. I described the film in the YouTube description as a story about a teenage boy who is torn about leaving his hometown. Him and his best friend spend their last day together, before the Zilker leaves for good. This was our third short film made in 2019 and after completing that project I could feel the progression we had made as a filming team.
